GTR MkI

The GTR MkI is produced by PRG Services’ talented and experienced staff of racing professionals.

The construction begins with the ZSR chassis.  A steel tube space frame semi- monocoque, with bonded and riveted aluminum panels for additional stiffness. The suspension, designed by race engineer Jim Griffith utilizing C5/C6 Corvette suspension. The choice of Corvette components provides builders with affordable and easily obtained suspension components. Lightweight, fully adjustable fabricated 4130 steel wishbones are also available at an additional cost.

The body is hand laid fiberglass, using open mold technology. PRG uses top quality fiberglass materials and resin to produce distortion free panels with a gel coat finish. The body comes installed on the chassis. Door are hinged and latched. Nose and tail section are installed. The body package also includes safety glass windshield, headlight covers and windows.

The standard engine choice is the small block Ford, which can be purchased from PRG (see engine page). The ZSR chassis is also capable of accommodating Chevy small block and GM LS series engines. Other engine installations are possible.

Numerous transmissions will work for your GTR MkI . These include the Audi Getrag 016, Porsche G50 and Mendeola transaxles all available from PRG. Quaife, Wave Trac and Carbonetic torque biasing  differentials are also available for the Audi and Porsche applications.
